DP Gachagua who spoke on Friday when addressing the United Democratic Alliance National Women Congress at Bomas of Kenya reaffirmed his strong ties with the president, reiterating that their friendship of over 20 years goes beyond the political and leadership space.
He termed the presumed tiff an ‘imaginary creation’ by critics who are yet to accept that he and President Ruto won the elections.
“The Government under the able leadership of President William Ruto is united, solid, and stable. There can never be division or conflict. That is a creation of people who are still living in denial,” the DP affirmed.
“We have been friends for over 20 years and our friendship surpasses the presidency.”
Gachagua further scoffed at critics saying that the relationship between him and the president had been solidified by the campaign agenda of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda under UDA, adding that no one should expect any division.
The DP went on to opine that those creating the rift were only envious of the UDA leadership after seeing the country was heading in the right direction.
“The President and I are together because we are joined by the ideology of Bottom Up Economic Transformation for the people of this country,” he said.
“There are many people who gave the President no chance. They are now envious that he is succeeding. He has become a darling of the international community. He is progressing on economic transformation of this republic and so they want to imagine that there can be a problem…there will be none.”
